One Sheet Wonder!

It's been awhile since I've done a "One Sheet Wonder" project.  I have seen several versions using one particular sheet of the Painted Blooms designer series paper.  I have traced the original artist to Bonnie Waterman.  So thank you Bonnie, for the idea and inspiration!  Here is my take on the Painted Blossom sheet cards.

First, here is the un-cut sheet of designer series paper.  Isn't is pretty?  I framed one of the sheets and have it up in my Stamping Studio.

I cut this sheet into 6" x 4" pieces.  As I was making each card, I trimmed each piece further.  I've laid the cards out so hopefully you can see where each of the six pieces is from.

This was a fun project!  I am scheduling a class around it so check my website for classes.  I used the coordinating stamp set Painted Petals to complete each card.  Card stock and Ink colors include: Blackberry Bliss, Rose Red, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi.  The butterflies were made using the Beautiful Wings embosslit and embellished with rhinestones.

"Butterflies Are Free!"

One of my favorite bundles in the Occasions Catalog is the Butterfly Basics Bundle.  I love layering two different colors of butterflies made with the Butterflies Thinlits Dies. Use a couple of folded unused dryer sheets under the card stock layer. Gently peel butterfly off of the dryer sheet and all of the little pieces you don't want will stay on the dryer sheet!

Supplies: Butterfly Basics Stamp Set; Butterflies Thinlits Dies; Whisper White, Pistachio Pudding, Wisteria Wonder & Gold Foil card stock; Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Canteloupe, Wisteria Wonder & Sahara Sand Ink; Versamark Ink & Gold Embossing Powder; Pearls

Lotus Blossom Easel Card

The FREE Sale-A-Bration set, Lotus Blossom, makes such a pretty card. The 3-step stamping adds dimension and interest.  I stamped the flower and stems on the Whisper White card stock.  I stamped it again on a scrap of Whisper White, fussy cut it and adhered it next to the stamped flower with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To make the Easel Card, start with a piece of card stock, 11" x 4 1/4".  Score at 5 1/2"
and 7 3/4".  This will fold into the easel.  The measurements for the flower piece are as follows:

  • Pear Pizzazz - 4 1/4" x 3 1/2"
  • Whisper White - 4" x 3 1/4"

A strip of Sticky Strip was placed along the left edge and covered with Dazzling Diamonds. The tag on the bottom is adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals to prop up the easel.

Supplies:  Lotus Blossom Stamo Set; Rose Red, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White card stock; Rose Red, Pear Pizzazz and Black Memento Ink; Pear Pizzazz cotton ribbon; 1" Square & Note Tag Punches, Sticky Strip; Dazzling Diamonds.

Goodbye Sunshine, Hello Snow!

I fully intended to post at least a couple of times while I was in Orlando.  We were so busy, I didn't have time!  The first post from Orlando was going to be the Leadership gifts I made.  I thought I would at least post a couple of photos today and will post more project ideas over the next few days.

While the weather wasn't real warm, it was certainly warmer and sunnier than Michigan!

The second photo is what I put together as Leadership gifts for our group.  I used our Fringe Scissors to fray the top of Tag a Bag Gift Bags, filled them with chocolate, and tied them with Strawberry Slush Thick Bakers Twine.  The heart tag stamp set is from January's Paper Pumpkin Kit and the Leadership tag was stamped with the Rotary Alphabet Stamp.

We arrived home yesterday in the middle of a blizzard. This last photo was taken today, after the snow finally stopped!  We ended up with over 16 inches of snow!
