Welcome to my Blog!

I am finally jumping back into the world of blogging! I am looking forward to sharing project ideas with you! If you would like e-mail messages when there is a new post, sign up for this service on the right side of the page.

As many of you know, I just got back from our annual Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City. We had a great time! We visited the home office in Riverton, made some great projects and attended some great breakout sessions!

The first photo is part of our group with one of the VP's from Stampin' Up! The second photo is my daughter (and upline), Julie after our walk on stage for earning the Southern Caribbean cruise!

Convention is always such fun! We get to hook up with stamping friends we haven't seen in a while, learn about new products and new techniques! And we get to swap card fronts! I'll post some of my favorites in the near future!

In the meantime, here is a layout of the 12 x 12 scrapbook pages we did this week at m
y Scrapbook Club!

Supplies: Always Artichoke, Ruby Red, More Mustard, Elegant Eggplant and Soft Suede & Whisper White card stock. The small maple leaf from Autumn Days (#115452, page 92) was stamped in Ruby Red, More Mustard & Elegant Eggplant on the title blocks. "fall fun" was stamped in Soft Suede using Taffy Alphabet (#115086, page 149). The large maple leaves were die cut with the Big Shot Sizzix (#113439, page 194) and the Leaves #2 die (#113459, page 202). The center of each page is from Autumn Traditions designer series paper (#115668, page 160) and Ribbon Originals Orchard (#116232, page 182)

The most popular stamp in the 2009 - 2010 Idea Book & Catalog is Medallion (# 115223, page 133). There are lots of ways you can use this image! Here is a card we made at Hostess Club this week. Supplies used to make this card: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink and Rose Red card stock, Pretty in Pink & Rose Red Classic Ink and a large pink rhinestone brad. It's hard to tell but I stamped the Sanded Background Stamp (#109294, page 134) in Pretty in Pink on the Whisper White before I stamped the Medallion. To give the Medallion a mottled look, I covered the Medallion in Pretty in Pink, then used a sponge to randomly sponge on the Rose Red ink. After stamping the medallion, I moved it a bit and stamped it again.

  1. Glad to see you blogging Susan! Love your scrapbook pages - I may have to case them for my stamp club.
