Stampin' Up! Frosted Floral Suite

One of my team members showed me this card sketch.  It's easy to do.  Score one sheet of card stock at 5 1/2".  Turn and score at 4 1/4".  Cut off one corner, trimming just a bit more so that the card closes easily.  See example below.

I die cut ovals on the first and second layer, then stamped the greeting through the ovals onto the last layer.  I used the elements from the Frosted Florals Suite to embellish each layer.

Stampin' Up! Timeless Tidings Kit

I do love kits!  The Timeless Tidings Project kit only costs $20 and you get 20 cards and envelopes.  That is $1 per card!  There are 5 cards for each of the four designs. I organized all of the pieces, did all of the stamping, and then assembled them.  They were all done within 45 minutes.  And as lovely as they are, they look even better in person.  I love them all but I think my favorite is card with the trees and the greeting of "Sending Good Tidings of Comfort & Joy".  I did purchase the coordinating stamp set which is also $20 so I guess my initial 20 cards is actually $2 per card.  Still a great bargain.

Stampin' Up! Country Lane Cotton

I can't remember who posted the idea of using cotton swabs for the cotton plants but it is brilliant!  It adds the perfect touch to the card.  I added some Wink of Stella to add some shimmer to the milk can.  The Tin Tile embossing folder adds that "old time" feel to it.  I love vintage anyway so I will get a lot of use out of it.

This is really a fun suite to work with, and versatile for year round use.  I hope this set carries over!  (Hint, hint, Stampin' Up!)

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Baubles

I was happy to see Shimmer Paint in the Holiday Catalog.  It's super easy to use.  You can use a tiny paint brush but I used a Wink of Stella brush.  It cleans right off on your grid paper.  I did find that it looks better with 2 coats. There is only one coat on the bottom of this ornament.  I posted it so you can see the difference.  

We have them in 4 colors - Bright Copper, Vegas Gold, Champagne Mist and Frost White.  Add a drop of re-inker to a small amount of the Frost White for even more colors.  It's a great way to add some shimmer to your projects!

The Shimmer paint works well with the Beautiful Baubles stamp set.  I love ornaments that shimmer!

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Blizzard

Here is another technique that I haven't done in quite a while.  I used the Sliding Door Framelits to create a template.  I taped it down to the card base with washi tape and sponged Balmy Blue inside the rectangle.  

I die cut the snowflakes in Silver Foil paper and heat embossed the greeting with Silver embossing powder.  I added Rhinestones to the center of each snowflake.  I like the simplicity of this card.
