Stampin' Up! Beautiful Blizzard

We haven't really had a lot of snow yet.  I know it's coming. My husband has the snowblower all ready in anticipation. But we seem to have skirted the big snow systems.  I always hope for a white Christmas.  Then I want it to all go away!

The thing I like most about this Beautiful Blizzard stamp set is the font on the sentiments.  I also like the Blizzard Thinlits die that coordinates with it.  You can die cut a bunch of different snowflakes to use.  The reverse image is also fun.  Put a piece of glimmer paper behind it for a card front with sparkly snowflakes.

It's hard to see but I stamped clusters of snowflakes from the stamp set in Night of Navy on the Night of Navy card stock.

Stampin' Up! Illuminated Christmas

My idea for this card started out in my head much differently.  This stamp set, Illuminated Christmas, coordinates with the Graceful Glass suite from the Annual Catalog.  I had fully intended to use some of the Graceful Glass Designer Vellum paper.  However, when I got these pieces done, I decided I liked the simplicity of it.

Stampin' Up! Nancy Brown Beautiful Blizzard

Last September I held a "Sparkler Stamping School" for my team.  It is a day of learning, stamping, and getting to know other team members.  Because we are somewhat spread out, we made use of modern technology for some of our presentations.

I asked one of our out of town team members, Nancy Brown, to put together a demonstration for us.  This is one of the samples she shared.  After creating the background effect, she die cut the piece using the Blizzard Thinlits Die.  She adhered it to a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper and it is absolutely gorgeous!

Stampin' Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas

I think it's time to get out my cookie recipes and decide which ones we are going to make this year.  I always wait until just a few days before Christmas before baking.  We all have a favorite cookie and we will bake a batch of each.  This year all of the kids and grandkids will be here.  The cookies will be gone by the time everyone leaves for home.  But I digress...I guess the name of the stamp set made me think of baking....

Angie made this card and it just makes me smile.  This is my favorite image in this set.  So fun!
