Sale-A-Bration Sneak Peek

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I thought I would give you a little sneak peek of some Designer Series Paper that you can earn during Sale-A-Bration!  It is called Flower & Field.  For the most part, the background is black, with bright flower images.  Since Daisies are my favorite flowers, I used it for this card.  It is a quick and simple layout!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This has been such a crazy year.  Some folks might have a hard time finding something to be thankful for.  For me, personally, I have a wonderful family!  We can't see each other much these days.  In fact, we haven't seen my son and daughter-in-law since my mother's funeral in early January.  Obviously we connect with phone calls, etc but it isn't the same.

The ups and downs are hard.  I am thankful that very soon, we will have vaccines available so we can begin to move forward!  I am thankful for Brenda Porath, who sent me this beautiful card!  Isn't it pretty?

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Feels Like Frost Snowman

I saw this card, or one similar to it, on a social media site.  When I tried to go back and find it again, well, I couldn't.  This is what I remember of it.  I like the way it turned out!  The card base is Thick Whisper White and I trimmed the sheet of designer series paper to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".  I used the Layering Oval dies to cut a section out of designer series paper and adhered it to the coordinating size scalloped oval piece of Misty Moonlight.

I stamped the snowman onto a scrap of Whisper White, did a bit of watercoloring with Stampin' Blends and die cut him/her out.  I did do a bit more trimming and adhered the snow person to the oval.  A greeting and a few rhinestones finished the card off.

Peony Garden

I haven't used Peony Garden in awhile so decided to pull it out and create this card as a make & take for our Team Meeting this month.  The designer series paper is so soft and pretty.  The Square Vellum Doily is a great layering piece.  I stamped the peony in Basic Gray ink and used some Stampin' Blends to add just a touch of color.  I didn't want to color the whole thing.  I think the only thing I would do differently on this card is to put the Champagne Rhinestones on Designer Series Paper, not on the circle.   What do you think?

Stampin' Up! Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper

A very popular card layout these days are using  strips of either cardstock that could be stamped or embossed or strips of designer series paper. I've been using it a lot lately!  Gold is the metal of the day!  The Ornate Garden designer series paper is gold.  I adhered the strips to Gold Foil paper, then adhered it to the Thick Whisper White cardstock.  The greeting is heat embossed with Gold Emboss Powder.  I added a few Gilded Gems to finish it off.
