If you live in the United States, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday weekend!  Julie and her family were able to join us this year and we had a wonderful time eating, playing games, eating some more and we even managed to get in a bit of Christmas shopping!

Stampin' Up! Angels of Peace

Our Aunt Nancy loves angels.  Every year I make and send her a Christmas Card with  Angels on it.  When I saw this stamp set, I knew I had to get it.  There is a lot going on with this card.  It is a stacked collage and I wanted a lot of layers and texture.  Behind our Angel is a Square Doily colored with a Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blend.  Behind the doily is a layer of Very Vanilla Embossed with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder.  I embossed the Angel in Gold Embossing Powder and used Stampin' Blends to add some color.  I left her wings alone except for adding Wink of Stella.  The Gold Glimmer star, greeting and a few Opal Rounds completes the layers.

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Place

I was drawn to the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper before I could even order it.  I love the dramatic scenes and prints in it.  The only stamping on this card are the snowflakes in the sky and the greeting that  and embossed in silver on.   This is a fairly quick and easy card to make.
