Stampin' Up! Golden Afternoon
Unfortunately, I had to send a sympathy card to a demonstrator friend of mine who lost her husband to cancer. I like to keep sympathy cards simple, without a lot of embellishments or sparkle.
I just purchased Golden Afternoon and it hadn't even made it to my shelf. I stamped the tree image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored it with Stampin' Blends.
Here's hoping I don't need to make any more sympathy cards for awhile....

Stampin' Up! All That You Are
This is a technique I haven't done for awhile. It's called Spotlighting. It's easy to do and great for new stampers. To make this card, I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Whisper White cardstock. I stamped it again in a scrap piece of Whisper White and colored part of the image with Stampin' Blends. I punched a portion of the image with the 1 3/4" punch and layered it on a Basic Black 2" circle. I adhered the circles to the original stamped image, lining up the images.
Pretty neat, huh? The Glittered Organdy Ribbon (carried over from the Holiday Catalog) adds some sparkle, which is always a good thing!

Stampin' Up! Meant to Be Hearts
Here is a quick and simple Valentine's Day card from the All My Love Suite in the Occasions Catalog. It's not quite in the spirit of Simple Stamping, but close. You can certainly step it up by embossing the card base, adding some Heart Epoxy Droplets or even heat embossing the stamped hearts and the greeting. But if you want simple, here it is.
