Stampin' Up! Elegantly Said

There is just no way to see how beautiful this Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper is in photos.  It really is stunning and I can't help but make it what this card is all about.  Period.

Stampin' Up! Garden Birdhouses

I haven't made a diorama card in several years.  If memory serves, it was a Christmas card with snowmen.  So when Julie demonstrated this card at a recent team meeting, I knew exactly which stamp set I was going to use.  Garden Birdhouses caught my eye when I first saw it in the catalog.  I love how it turned out!

To make this card, cut 2 pieces of card stock at 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".  So basically a quarter sheet of cardstock.  I used Basic White for the bottom layer and Granny Apple Green for the top layer.  Score both pieces at 3/8" and 3/4" from both sides.  Fan fold the score lines.

When you are ready to assemble it, put Tear & Tape on the outer edges of one of the pieces.  (I put it on the bottom  - Basic White piece)  Adhere one side first.  Before adhering the second side, make sure the card pieces are flat, then adhere together.  You may have to do a bit of trimming but this will insure you can fit it into your envelope.

Stampin' Up! Artistically Inked

It was hard deciding which sheet of the Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper to use - they are all so pretty!  The artists at Stampin' Up! are so creative.  This alcohol ink look reminds me of marble.  And the Ephemera Pack has some pretty elements to embellish cards with.  If anything, I wish there were more of the sequins!

Stampin' Up! Pansy Patch

This was a fun card to make.  One of my team members, Barb, did a demonstration at our team meeting in April.  I made this card for Hostess Club earlier this month.  The pansies are punched from a sheet of the designer series paper.  Scroll down past the Shopping List to see the instructions.

Stampin' Up! Elegantly Said

This suite of products can make some very dramatic cards.  It's hard to tell  in the photo but the designer series paper on the bottom of the card has all three colors - gold, silver & copper.  I think this card needs some tweaking....what do you think it needs?
