Stampin' Up! Hats Off

Tomorrow, our beautiful granddaughter, Claire, is turning 16!  Wow.  It's hard to believe that our grandkids are getting so big.  Claire pitches on a couple of different teams, including her high school.  We are looking forward to a visit with them and will hopefully get to see her pitch!

To make the hats, I die cut them out in both Night of Navy and Balmy Blue, cut the darker blu bills off and adhered them to the Balmy Blue hats.  

Happy Birthday, Claire!  We love you to the moon and back!

Stampin' Up! Friends are like Seashells

My husband and I love to snorkel.  There is so much to see under the water!  The Sand & Sea suite  reminds me of some great snorkeling adventures.  I am happy that except for the Designer Series Paper, the rest of the Suite has carried over to the Annual Catalog.  I love that after die cutting out the shells, I can run it through the Seashells 3D embossing folder to give it some dimension.  I used Sponge Daubers and Classic Ink Pads to add some color.  A fun card to make!

Stampin' Up! Sweet as a Peach

I love everything about this suite, from the colors and watercolor images to the Mini Jam Jars.  It just reminds me a warm summer days.  To get the multi toned peach image, I inked up the stamp with Pale Papaya and using a Sponge Dauber, added some Calypso Coral around the edges before stamping the image on the Basic White cardstock.  (TIP: Always start with your lighter ink before adding the darker color.  Be sure to clean your stamp after to avoid contaminating your lighter ink with the darker one.)  

It's hard to see but there are some Pale Papaya gems from the 2021-2023 In Color Gem pack.
